Infrastructure
- Bloomfield is served by US Highway 63 and Iowa Highway 2
- Bloomfield Municipal Airport: 3400 foot paved, lighted runway.
Heartland Aviation provides courtesy car, fuel and full-service maintenance,
flight training, plane rental, consultation for aircraft sales, storage for
privately owned aircraft. Recently received federal grant to expand
aircraft parking.
- Recently completed the $4,000,000 four-phase sewer improvement project in
Bloomfield.
- Lake Fisher provides the water supply for Bloomfield. A recent
$600,000 watershed improvement has led the Iowa DNR to rank Lake Fisher
among the best in surface water protection.
- Rural Davis County served by the Rathbun Regional Water Association.
- New fire station and recently renovated Law Enforcement Center.
- On-going water main and street improvement.
