Tell us a little bit of history about your business.
Dr. White grew up in southern Iowa and always had dream to come back home and raise a family here. After graduating from Iowa State’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, Dr. White and his family relocated to Centerville, IA. Dr. White opened Parkside Centerville in the summer of 2016 and opened up Parkside Bloomfield in the fall of 2018.
What are the services or products your business provides?
Dr. White focuses mainly on small animal veterinary medicine. He does anything from yearly physicals, vaccinations, diagnostics, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, radiology, end of life services, etc. We also offer boarding and grooming services at both locations.
What is your favorite thing about having a business in our community?
We have loved getting to know community members throughout our involvement with sponsoring different projects in town. We have witnessed the town grow and work together to make the community a great place to own a business. We love that when clients come in we are able to feel treated just like family to them. We have enjoyed having conversations during appointments and getting to know the clients and their backgrounds and gaining personal relationships with them.
What is one thing people may not know about you or your business?
Dr. White’s wife, Chelsea, grew up in the veterinary medicine world. Her dad was a mixed animal veterinarian in Wisconsin and Utah before relocating to Iowa and going back to school to get his PhD in Veterinary Pathology. Dr. White enjoys when he gets to sit down with Chelsea’s dad and talk about his memories of working at a general practice!
